How to Navigate the PPCWG Web Site


Overview

This page provides an overview of how the site is organized, how to navigate from place to place within the various web sections and how to use the site.
  • If you are interested in reading the guidance, go to the left navigation bar and choose the topic you are interested in.
  • If you are interested in finding out where to start and how to use the guidance in your agency, go to the tab “Guidance Overview” and click on "Getting Started."
  • If you are interested in the various tools, templates or samples on the website, click on the tab labeled "Resources."
  • If you are interested in finding out more about the background of the PPCWG, use the tab labeled “About PPCWG.”
  • If you would like to give us feedback on the web site, the content or would like to submit a resource, click on the tab labeled “Feedback.”

Click on “Home” at any time to go back to the sites homepage.

Guidance Overview
Under this tab, you will find a drop down menu which includes the following:
  • Purpose: Answers the questions “What is the Guidance” and “Who is the Guidance Intended for?”
  • Getting Started: Explanation of how to use the guidance in your agency. Explains the PPCWG Analytical Framework and the four levels of work within each critical area – Strategy, Key Processes, Operations and Implementation.
  • Critical Area Definitions: PPCWG definitions of each of the fourteen critical areas.
  • Glossary of Terms: PPCWG definitions of terms used in the guidance.
  • References: References documents used in the guidance.

About PPCWG
Under this tab, you will find a drop down menu which includes the following:
  • Overview: The history of the Initiative and the Guidance.
  • Governance: Describes how the PPCWI was governed.
  • Parameters: Defines the parameters of the guidance - Values and Principles, the Population to be Served by Public Child Welfare, the Role of Public Child Welfare, and the Role that Disparities and Disproportionality play in an Agency’s Ability to Achieve Positive Outcomes for Children, Youth and Families.
  • About NAPCWA: Describes who NAPCWA is and what it does.
  • Sponsors: Describes the sponsors of the PPCWG - APHSA and Casey Family Programs.
  • Contributors: Lists the contributors of the PPCWG.


Left Navigation Bar

On each web page, you will find a navigation bar on the left side of the page which includes the following tabs:

Strategy, Disparity/Disproportionality, Practice Model, Leadership, Workforce, Communications, Change Management, Administrative Practices, Strategic Partnerships, Information Management, Public Policy, Budget and Finance, Research and Technology.

Each of these tabs, except for Disparity and Disproportionality, is further broken down into five categories: Overview, Domain Definition, Strategy, Key Processes, Operations and Implementation.
